Shoemaker: BettyBossyBoots

Betty Ennis, of BettyBossyBoots, in Spotswood, Victoria.

Betty Ennis has incorporated a life time of learning into the last 7 years focusing her skills towards her trade of shoemaking. She learned her basic skills doing a short course at RMIT and multiple workshops in Tasmania and started creating her own designs using only vintage sewing machines, knives, hammer & tacks, bench sander and glues, making her own handmade veg tan toe puffs, heel stiffeners and hand stacked leather heels.

Using unusual, and one off finds of quality leathers, she creates funky men and women’ shoes and boots and her own signature range of unique unisex lace up derbies.

BettyBossyBoots is based in Spotswood, Melbourne and is available for commission work and runs small bespoke workshops for beginners.
