Peter is a woodworker, Windsor Chair maker and antique furniture restorer, and is also known for his wonderful photography.
As a bespoke chair maker, Peter uses both traditional and modern techniques and tools. All Peter’s Windsor Chairs are hand made and feature European Elm for the seats and splats (back panels), and a variety of Australian timbers for the other components. He steam bends the chair bows at his Blue Mountains workshop. His chairs are finished using French polish and wax.
Peter says that your well-made bespoke Windsor Chair will be a part of you and your family’s lives for hundreds of years. “I have several Windsor chairs that are well over 200 years old, and I am always fascinated by the romantic thought of the number of different ‘bums and fashions’ that have been a part of the chair’s life - just think about the historical event a 200 year old chair has seen!"
