Green Woodsmith: Paul Ryle

Paul is based in Buninyong, Victoria.

Paul is a craftsman who works with freshly cut ‘green’ (unseasoned) wood, using centuries-old traditional skills.  The wood is hewn, carved or turned using old hand tools, a shaving horse and a foot-powered ‘pole lathe’. Paul makes a range of beautiful woodware, including spoons, bowls, garden rakes, stools and chairs.

Paul runs courses in green woodworking throughout the year.
