Tuckpointing: Antoni Pijaca

Antoni is based in Melbourne, Victoria.

The bricks of a very old house need to breathe. We also want them to look utterly gorgeous. Antoni Pijaca’s speciality is traditional English tuckpointing, using lime mortar & putty, a straightedge, tuck iron and frenchman. It is meticulous work, and is both beautiful to see, and kind to old brick buildings. Antoni’s passion, extensive knowledge and experience often sees him advising heritage architects, consultants and other professionals in his field of restoration, and his work has been earned the National Trust Heritage Conservation Award. As part of the process of brickwork restoration, Antoni also does paint removal and facade cleaning, damp proofing, salt removal, and brick and mortar colouring.
